What is the WISe Symposium?

The annual WISe Symposium Conference is a two day virtual (online) event that invites a broad audience (WISe Practitioners, agency leadership, youth, families, individuals with lived experience, system partners, etc.) to gather virtually. It features speakers, breakout sessions and more, and provides a real time space for attendees to share and connect while learning more about WISe.

In 2024 the event was held over two consecutive days during the first week of August.

Registration is free!

We hope to see you at next years event!

WISe Symposium 2024 Sean Goode Keynote

KEYNOTE: “RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW”

When will these systems begin to change? When will those that I serve experience the support that they deserve? When will I have time to care for myself? When will things start to get better?

Many questions like these live within the people that show up for our community with an uncompromising commitment to serve those in great need with deep compassion. Together we’ll get grounded in possibility, learn how to grow in grace and answer questions like these with an intentional call to action: Right here, Right now

Sean’s Bio

Sean is a speaker, facilitator, writer, executive coach, consultant and nonprofit leader who is driven by his mantra, “possibilities over problems,” which was born out of his experience growing up in overwhelmingly challenging circumstances. Prior to operating the coaching and consulting practice “Finding Goode,” he served as Chief Impact and Learning officer at the Seattle Foundation where he worked to move money back into the communities it was extracted from as an act of repair.

When he isn’t supporting leaders in leveraging their superpowers or sharing his own personal journey of walking in the transformative power of grace with a diversity of audiences in both the private and public sector, Sean can be found creating memories with his amazing wife and two incredible children.

KEYNOTE: “WISe 10 Years – Celebrating What’s Strong...YOU! ”

Let’s celebrate! Yes, it has been 10 years, and it is time to talk about how wonderful you are! We have had some rough patches and we have been put to the test; however, I am here to share with you how much you are appreciated and honored for the work you do.

Here are a few things we will cover:

  • How our strengths and challenges can coexist
  • Being overwhelmed by this work does not mean we are under accomplished
  • If you are everything to everybody there’s nothing left for you
  • Focus on building the new
